Joint DSP Valley booth at Japan IT week - IoT/M2M Expo 2019

After the successful 2018 edition of our participation in Japan IT week and based on the already expressed interest of some companies, we consider also for 2019 to organise a joint booth at Japan IT week - IoT/M2M Expo which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight from April 10 (Wed) till April 12 (Fri), 2019.

In the Japanese business culture, trade fairs are often considered as one of the most effective ways of establishing initial contacts, certainly in a culture which is often experienced as very “closed”. And for those already having some contacts or business in Japan, a trade fair is the ideal occasion to organise a business trip and combine with customer meetings.

Japan IT Week Spring  is a large trade fair covering a broad area of the electronics field. The show is quite popular and the conference organiser, Reed Exhibitions,  is well known for being able to attract a broad and relevant audience. This will be complemented by the network of our partners in Japan. If we can combine this with a large DSP Valley booth, we believe we can attract a lot of visitors. The cost of the booth will be shared among the participants. The price for an individual booth space will therefore strongly depend on the number of participants. But we expect, assuming a reasonable number of participants, to offer a booth space at a price level in the order of 5000 Euro. To further reduce the costs, SME’s can apply for funding with their regional trade organisation (e.g. FIT or AWEX).

A typical offer will be based on:
  • floorspace determined by the number of participants
  • a stand construction providing individual islands for the participants allowing a demo and a poster
  • a common meeting space and basic catering facilities (coffee, thee, water, Belgian beer)
  • one large format TV screen to show presentations from the different participants
  • presence of people who can interpret for those who have no own Japanese speaking staff

As such we believe we will create an attractive offer to the DSP valley companies. More details on the offer will be provided as soon as we get a better picture of the potential interest (booth design is strongly depending on the number of participants).

Unfortunately, trade fair organisers are requesting a commitment sooner each year. This forces us to take a go / no-go decision already in the second half of October. Therefore, we would appreciate if you can inform us about your interest as soon as possible.
